A week in my shoes 13th-19th December 2014

image

It’s Friday!

We made it!

Have an ORRsome Christmas break.

What did you get up to during your last week?

image

Lovely weekend at home having a quiet and relaxing time.

image

image

image

Wee chest infection to deal with but lovely hot toddies too.

image

image

Monday – our last one before the hols.

Be kind to yourself and to others.

First Christmas party of the week for Y3. Another 7 parties over the course of the week.

image

Final Christmas performance from UKS2 in front of the whole school. An overwhelming response regarding all our Christmas concerts has been received from our families. Children and staff have worked really hard sharing the true meaning of Christmas.

image

We start the new year with a major toilet refurb. SLMT met to plan how we manage routes around school whilst phase one of the refurb starts.

image

Mince pies, hot chocolate and carols around the tree this evening with Apollo Music Band. An ORRsome evening had by all.

Few more twiddly bits in the kitchen….

image

And now it’s Friday. The last Friday of the Autumn term.

We have our own carol service in church this afternoon. Children and staff are invited to wear something festive and Christmassy. Christmas jumper dress with reindeer is the order of the day. I wonder how many times today I will hear staff, never mind children, say reindeer with an s on the end. #majordislike

Have an ORRsome Christmas break, whatever you get up to.

Just a couple mORR Friday week in my shoes to go and similarly with ORRsome blog posts befORR the end of 2014.

Plans already afoot for a daily blog idea for 2015 with a little built in challenge for others too.

Bring in the weekend and bring in two weeks’ rest.

A week in my shoes 6th-12th December 2014

image

It’s Friday! We are on the home straight with one mORR week to go.

What has this week brought you?

For me it has been an entire week focused on our Christmas productions.

image

A weekend spent clearing the decks of emails and collating my own head teacher appraisal documentation followed by a wonderful family lunch with Mum, Dad and close family friends. Lovely way the end the weekend.

image

Lots of festive fun to start the week!

image

Two dress rehearsal performances today with KS1 and LKS2. I don’t know why we call them a dress rehearsal as they are really a performance in front of the rest of the school and staff. Our children sang with gusto and thoroughly enjoyed sharing that first Christmas when love came down.

image

Three performances today:- LKS2, KS1 followed by an evening performance for LKS2. LKS2 have enjoyed sharing their version of nine lessons and carols through singing traditional Christmas carols. A wonderful day for all.

image

UKS2 and KS1 taking their turn today.

image

Today was the first of two EYFS Christmas productions.

Driving snow on the way to work this mORRning as well as mORR flurries during the day.

image

It’s Friday again and the last of our EYFS Christmas performances. One MORR perfomance to go next week.

Including all the performances children do in front of the whole school as well as their parents, by the end of next Tuesday we will have racked up 13 in total in 7 days. The children have worked extremely hard and it is clearly evident in their faces how much they have enjoyed it all.

Civilised staff ‘do’ tonight with afternoon tea.

One mORR Friday to go before we break up for Christmas. Have an ORRsome weekend.
