I love October!
Last year I was invited to deliver the English training sections to Stockton’s SCITT students for EYFS and Primary. I wasn’t too sure what to expect but the feedback was overwhelming. So much so I am presenting again this year.
The cohort have 11 EYFS students as well as 26 primary – a little larger than your average sized primary class!
The second session with the students was equally well received if not better and ended with a round of applause. The students joined in with gusto and worked in teams to produce Talk 4 Writing story maps and then acted them out with actions Pie Corbett style.
Of course, an end of month summary wouldn’t be one without some new shoes and a few culinary delights…..
Eggs in clouds, scallop, sword fish and red snapper plus salmon with tarragon sauce…..
Concerts and flowers – great time singing for Lowfell singers to celebrate 60 years of their conductor being a choir member.
My new footstool arrived to match the sofa.
And of course, the best part of October is that my birthday often falls in half term. Lovely day spent with Mum and Dad for lunch with surprise gifts.
Over a year ago, several teachers got together to make a charity calendar/diary. I picked my birthday for my contribution which is of course, mischief night.
For one day only I get to play Ms Mischief Night!
