It’s Monday!

Be yourself!

It is in vain to hope to please all alike. Let a man stand with his face in what direction he will, he must necessarily turn his back on one half of the world.–George Dennison Prentice

It is never too late to be what you might have been.–George Eliot

It is not worth an intelligent man’s time to be in the majority. By definition, there are already enough people to do that.–G. H. Hardy

It is the chiefest point of happiness that a man is willing to be what he is.–Desiderius Erasmus

It is the highest form of self-respect to admit our errors and mistakes and make amends for them. To make a mistake is only an error in judgment, but to adhere to it when it is discovered shows infirmity of character.–Dale Turner

It is very easy to conform to what your society or your parents and teachers tell you. That is a safe and easy way of existing; but that is not living…To live is to find out for yourself what is true…–Jiddu Krishnamurti

A week in my shoes 21st-27th June 2014

image

It’s Friday and most of us only have three full weeks left until it’s the end of the academic year.

I have 24 days left of this term. Overwhelmed by how quickly this year seems to have flown!

What has this week brought you and what have you left to do?

The weekend – managed to comment upon and sign the remaining 250+ pupil reports.

image

Monday – we hosted the first of 7 family lunches today. Today reception children invited their families to dine with them. The kitchen staff worked a hard shift with amazing results. ORRsome feedback from parents.

image

Tuesday – another busy day working with admin and LA finalising end of year information, newsletters, sports days, summer fayre etc…

Looking at our calendar for the final few weeks – lots of fun for the children.

Really busy day – Y2 at Beamish, Y4 at Danelaw, Y1 family lunch, Y6 athletics finals.

Our kids had an amazing time and have been such a credit to our school.

ORRsome blog posts from the week that was – another ORRsome week!

And once again it’s Friday. Time of our strawberry cream tea this afternoon.

After that I can pick up my Batmobile. Changing car to something newer, more economical and something that will be better during winters conditions.

Rehearsal with Graeme Danby from English National Opera in preparation for the Proms evening tomorrow.

Bring in the weekend. Looking fORRward to enhancing the fiery copper redhead ready for posh sequinned frock and a rule Britannis.

Have an ORRsome weekend chaps!
